Neighborhood 22 is Armstrong Drive, located east of Sun City Blvd, with 27 estate series homes.  During the spring of 2005 the lots were released for sale.  By July three couples met during a sneak-peek walk on their lots.  We decided to meet at Accents Café the following Sunday at 8:30 for breakfast and to get to know each other better.  As the following months came we met more of our neighbors-to-be and told them to meet us at Accents.  As we saw couples looking at different lots, we’d ask, “are you an owner or a lookie-loo?” If the answer was owner, we’d immediately invite them to our weekly Sunday breakfast.  Our group began to grow.  A chance meeting at the post office, in an apartment laundry facility and another at Fairway Golf in Salado brought several more couples to Accents. By December 18 ^th we were all getting settled in our new homes and decided to meet the last Sunday of each month at Accents starting in January 2006.  We have a fun and exciting group of homeowners.  We gather together the 2 ^nd Friday of each month for drinks & appetizers.  Monday and Friday golf groups have been formed.  We also have a monthly Bunco group.  We realize our 2005 weekly Sunday breakfast get-togethers formed a close friendship for all of us.  We all started our new life here on Armstrong Drive as good friends who are willing to help each other and enjoy our retirement life.
