Using
My Sun City
on the Web Portal
My Sun City
is a link that is displayed on the screen after you log
in to the Community Association web portal. The link goes to a
customized personal information web
page.
There are four distinct things to do on your My Sun City
page:
Favorite Links, Resident Information, Personal
Calendar,
and
Newsletter Subscriptions.
Resident Information
First, go to
www.sctxca.org
and log in.
After you log in, the top of the homepage looks like
this:
Click on
My Sun City in the upper right-hand corner of the home page to get to your My Sun City
page.
Then click on
Edit Profile to review and modify your information.
Resident information is where you can change your
e-mail address, your web portal password, your name, your telephone number, your home state, and
privacy options. You can change privacy options about what you want shown in the printed Sun City
Resident Directory and on the Resident Directory screen of the Sun City web portal. Even if your
e-mail address is hidden, it can be passed to the CA mail list, to the neighborhood mail list and
to the chartered clubs or other groups that you have joined.
The plus/minus signs (+/-) will expand and
reduce the information that is displayed. If you click on the + sign, something like the following
will appear on the screen:
If you wish to change your e-mail address or your privacy
options, then please click on the
Edit Profile
text. The following screen will appear:

A. To change your web portal password, you must enter both your old
password and your new password.
B. To change your name, type in the new or correct text over the
existing text.
C. To change your e-mail address, type in your new e-mail address over
the existing e-mail address (if any). Double-check your email address for accuracy. If
the box to the right of
Hide Resident E-Mail address? is empty, then your e-mail address will be printed in the
Resident Directoriey and be available to other residents on the web portal. To hide your e-mail
address in both the printed and portal directories, click the box to the right so that a check mark
appears in the box. If
the box to the right of
Receive CA & NRO Email is checked, then you will receive official CA e-mail messages
and any e-mail that your Neighborhood Rep sends out. To stop getting these e-mails, clear the check
mark by clicking on the box.
D.
To change your telephone number, type in your new number over the existing
number (if any). Dashes or periods to separate your area code or prefix are welcome, but not
necessary.If
the box to the right of
Hide Telephone Number is empty, then your telephone number will be printed in the Resident
Directory and be available to other residents on the web portal. To hide your telephone number in
both the printed and portal directories, click the box to the right so that a check markļ appears in
the box.
E. To change your Home State, click on the down chevron to the right.
This will cause a pop-up window to appear that allows you to scroll to your home state. Put your
cursor on the correct home state and click your left mouse button. If
the box to the right of
Hide Home State is empty, then your home state will be printed in the Resident Directory
and be available to other residents on the web portal. To hide your home state in both the printed
and portal directories, click the box to the right so that a check mark appears in the
box.
F. If the box to the right of
Hide in Printed Directory is empty, then all of your non-hidden information will be
printed in the Resident Directory. If you click on the box to the right so that a check mark
appears in the box, then no entry will appear in the printed Resident Directory.
G. After you have made all of the desired changes, click on the
Submit button in the lower right hand corner of the page. If the changes are accepted,
then you will get the following display:
Please note, the maximum amount of information that will be shared
with other residents is the following:
Your e-mail address, telephone number, and home state may be hidden, as explained
above. Passwords are not shared.
