Welcome to the Sun City Texas Finance Committee Website
The Finance Committee (Committee) is the financial interface between the Residents
and the Community Association Board. The Committee has oversight responsibility for the
financial operations of the Community Association. Actions taken by the Committee require
Board of Directors approval. The Committee is composed of seven resident members who are selected
through the nominating process and approved by the Board of Directors.
The Committee works closely with the Community Association Director of
Finance. The Committee has a Neighborhood Representative Ex Officio, and provides
Ex Officio representatives to the Golf, Property & Grounds, Sports
Committee, and Maintained Homes governance committees.
The Committee oversees the Community Association financial budgets, Asset
Repair and Replacement Funds (ARR) operations, and purchasing process for both the HOA and
Golf operations.
The Committee has four permanent sub-committees, which include: HOA and Golf
ARR Fund, Insurance, Investments, and Financial Controls. Sub-committees have both Committee
members and resident non-committee members.
Non-Finance Committee members are selected by the Finance Committee. These
sub-committees perform fact finding and analysis of specific issues and make recommendations to the
Finance Committee.
All meetings (except executive sessions), including annual budget preparation
meetings, are open meetings with residents welcome. Each meeting provides a resident comment
opportunity. All draft policies are posted for resident comment prior to submittal to the
Board of Directors.
An email link is provided for residents to submit ideas and suggestions. These
emails will not be responded to individually, but if there is Committee support, it will become an
agenda item. |
