Communications Committee
The Committee's primary role is to advise the
Community Association Board and staff and to make recommendations to them on policies, systems, and
procedures for maintaining and/or improving the communication between and among the residents, the
CA, the developer, and the Georgetown community at large.
Responsibilities

Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of all
available communication links in SCTX, including but not limited to the SUN RAYS, Channel 79,
the web portal, e-mail, bulletin boards, the resident directory, Town Halls and resident forums
.
A subcommittee,
the Media Advisory Panel (MAP)
advises in this project.

Studying and evaluating methods and techniques to
improve, enhance and simplify the array of communication methods used, to assure that residents get
not only what they want and need from the communication spectrum, but that they get the "best
bang for the communications buck."

Providing guidance, assistance, and expertise to the
CA staff as the SCTX Web Portal is developed and implemented including project management by a
subcommittee, the Web Portal Project Team.

Decisions regarding any recommendations and their implementation are the
responsibility of the CA Board of Directors.
Regular Meetings
2nd Wednesday of the month at 9:30 am
Community Association Conference Room, opposite the CA Office.
These meetings usually last about 1.5 hours and are open to residents.
