Hunting & Shooting Sports

The hunting and shooting sports SIG purpose is to provide information and opportunities for club members with interests in shooting clay birds, hunting, archery or target shooting. Our goals are to:

1.    Identify inexpensive hunting opportunities for all types of game.
2.    Improve shotgun shooting skills in skeet, trap and sporting clays.
3.    Provide opportunities to shoot rifles and pistols.
4.    Provide opportunities for archery.

The Club has developed an excellent opportunity for clay bird shooting at Ft. Hood. Leases have been developed for whitetail deer and hog hunting at economical rates. Locations have been found for hunting doves, quail and ducks. Target shooting with rifles and pistols is available.
