On January 18, 2008, Del Webb-Pulte held a town hall meeting to describe the new amenities being planned to accommodate the additional 2500 homes which will be added to Sun City.  In brief, the Billiard Club will be moved from its current location in the Social Center.  We will be relocated to a free standing building to be built in the area behind the Veterens Memorial.  This building will be dedicated to billiards and is being designed to have space for 8 tables, doubling the capacity which we currently have now.  This is a really exciting prospect and the officers of your club are currently working with the folks from Pulte, providing input to the design.

While this is great news for us, the down side is that the new Billiards Center will not be complete until the 1st quarter of 2009.  It is estimated that we will lose our current space in May or June, 2008.  In the interim, we will have at least two tables relocated in the Social Center lobby, near the fireplace, not far from where we are today.

This is obviously an inconvience, as most days, we have had all four tables in play morning, noon and night.  However if you take the long view, we will end up with a great place to play pool, and it will be available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.  I hope you will bear with us during this time and look to the bright side - a fine new facility with twice the capacity that we currently have.
