Welcome to the Alternative Healing & Wellness Club Website
Our purpose is to educate our members in the healing modalities that are considered
alternative while still recommending mainstream medical practices where applicable.
Our next meeting will be held in the AC Atrium

Speaker: Sara Reardon
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Sara Reardon, will present a seminar to explain common
causes of constipation and teach you alternative treatments and simple tools to help prevent
constipation.

CURRENT NEWS
:
Our Health Library is open in Activities Center Meeting Rooms 3&
4 from 1:30 to 3:30 pm each Friday. The library will not be open after this general
meeting.
We have reference books, reading books, newsletters CD's, DVD's,
cassette
tapes and VHS tapes on Alternative Health topics.
We also have several shelves of books that can be
borrowed.
Consider volunteering to be a Health Library Monitor.
Study Groups
The QiGong group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning at
8:00 am in the Activities Center Atrium.
The Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Support Group will meet
again on December 19 at 2 pm in Meeting room 3. If you would like to learn EFT, please come
and see how this group can help you. We will be discussing the many symptoms that EFT can
treat.
Membership
Our current membership is 275 while we ended the year 2007
with 230 members.
The Executive Board has set the dues at $5 per person for the year
2009. You can join at any regular meeting. Dues can be sent to Peggy Rouh, 104 Swallowtail
Circle.
General Meetings
The monthly meetings are held on the second Friday of the month at 1 pm in the
Activities Center Atrium. The next meeting speaker and topic are highlighted at the top of
this page.

Sara is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, receiving her Bachelor of
Science Degree in Psychology and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree. She joined the practice
of Kimberlee Sullivan at Sullivan Physical Therapy almost 2 years ago to specialize in treating
pelvic floor dysfunction. She has presented on physical therapy treatment for constipation at
National and State Physical Therapy conferences and throughout the Austin community.
