We invite all Sun City residents that have any connection to Kansas to attend a gathering twice a year. If you have lived in Kansas, attended a school in Kansas, were stationed at a Kansas military base or have family member that lived in Kansas, we welcome you to come join us for good food and fellowship.

          The event usually happens in the Spring and the Fall. It is hosted by various former Kansasans that plan the event and do the set up and plan the activity. The last few have been held at the Pavilion in Sun City but can be held in various locations. A donation is usally requested to defray the cost of renting the pavilion and paper products used for the event.

          This year in the Spring we met for a pot luck dinner in April. Everyone was asked to bring an dish to share and a $2.00 donation. We usually have between 80 and 100 people attend. We had a Find the Kansas game in which guests had to find a person that met each question. Example for one was to find a person who lived their whole life in Kansas prior to moving to Sun City. The people who found the most Kansasan that met the questions won fun Kansas products such as Kansas wine, Kansas grape juice, Kansas apple cider syrup, Kansas post cards and a Sunflower mug.
