Sundancers

The Sundancers club is organized to promote square and round dancing as
recreational and social activities for the residents. The dance schedule includes regular dances
every Monday night from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The dances are held in the Social Center ballroom.
Visitors from other clubs are invited to visit any Monday night.
The Sundancers has a current membership of 175. Membership is open to residents
of Sun City Texas. Club dues are $12 per person annually. Contact club officers
for additional membership information.
We are fortunate to have Brad Caldwell as our square dance caller. Brad has been
our caller since the club was organized in 1997. He is a fine caller with national standing and an
excellent teacher.
Jerry and Lucy Pate are the round dance cuers and are active and well-respected throughout
central Texas.
The club offers basic and mainstream lessons each fall to those that
are interested in learning to square dance. Plus lessons are held every year usually beginning in
April shortly after basic/mainstream lessons are completed. A “Fun Night” is scheduled in
September each year. Sun City residents are invited to visit during Fun Night and see what it is
like to learn to square dance. This FREE night is a “try it to see if you like it” night.
