Pets

Do you want to meet other pet owners and animal lovers. Now is the time to join the Sun City Texas Pet Club. As one of the newest clubs, chartered in September 2005, we now boast almost 90 members and growing. Membership is $15 per year, prorated for the last six months of 2006.

What is our purpose? We are a social group of pet owners and animal lovers wishing to exchange ideas on care of our pets, grooming, feeding and medical treatment. We are an educational group as well wanting to educate our members on these topics. We are a resource for where to find medical, pet sitting, grooming. And we are also working to establish an off-leash fenced park for our four legged canine friends.

We meet the second Monday of each month at 12:30pm in the Activities Center, usually Rooms 3 and 4. We are also planning once-a-month dine-outs during the warmer months to be followed by potlucks in the Pavilion during the cooler months.

Canines – bring your peeps out to the Legacy Hills Park Pavilion on the second Saturday of each month to meet other canines. It’s also a good opportunity for your owners to meet other pet owners.

Questions may be directed to the Sun City Texas Pet Club e-mail at suncitypetclub@yahoo.com. You may also call Robin or Marshall Pearlstein, President and Secretary/Treasurer at 868-8298.

REMINDER: The City of Georgetown and Sun City Texas have leash laws. All pets must be on leash when outside the owner’s home, whether in your neighborhood, on Sun City or Del Webb Boulevard or on trails. Also, it is not only the law but considerate of your neighbors to pick up after your pet.
