Foreign Language Club
Spanish SIG
Our newly elected officers are president, Charles Phillips; vice-president, Lea
Kraus; secretary, Judy Harries; treasurer, Randy Mc Crea. Officers will serve through 2007-2008.
Dues ($5) will not be collected until 2008. We would like to hear from anyone who can volunteer to
help us with presentations, teaching, great ideas, etc. Contact any of the

French:
The French SIG has two groups. The fluent group will meet on November 7 and November 21,
1:30 p.m. Those who are non-fluent will meet on November 14 and November 28, 1:30 p.m. Contact

Hebrew:
Conversational Hebrew with a small class is being held weekly on Wednesdays at the

German:
We are collecting names of people who are interested in learning German or getting
together for German conversational practice. We would also like to hear from anyone who could teach

Italian:
The Italian SIG meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m. at the

Intermediate/Advanced
: If you are
interested in an intermediate and/or advanced Spanish class with possible focuses on
"Conversational Spanish," "Practical Spanish" as used on a trip, "Sayings and/or different meanings
of words in different Spanish Speaking Countries," or "Understanding music/lyrics, movies and
cooking instructions," contact Judy Harries or Rich Haskell.
Cooking Classes:
Cooking classes for traditional Mexican food will begin in December. Classes will be
in Spanish. Limit 10. Contact Judy Harries.
Travel Classes:
The Foreign Language Club is preparing to offer a few crash courses for travelers to
Italy, France, and Mexico Contact Judy Harries.
